Show WATER FOR UTAH sidered on a minimum basis of 150 gallons per day per capita. These represent equivalents of 0.224 acre- feet and 0.168 acre- feet per year, respectively, for urban and rural water consumption requirements. In the calculation of future requirements, the population of Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo and Logan must be considered as urban, with the rest of the State as rural. On this basis, and reflecting anticipated population growth to a State total of 1,100,000 persons by 1970, any long- range plan for the development of domestic and community water supplies must, therefore, provide a minimum State total of 210,000 acre- feet.
