Show HARRY A. MOYER November 22 2002 there. And so we were there for a week and called back and told them I m not ready to come back yet! I need this 'Rand R' !" So we stayed for another four or five days, I think. BEN: Who told you that? You said that you weren't ready? HAR: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we said, "Doc, extend this 'Rand R,' we're having a pretty good time up here." BEN: What kind of things are there on Capri? What's happening on Capri at this time? HAR: Well, we had dances with the nurses. And there was such a nice ... BEN: Was it set up for this kind of thing? Was there a lot of Americans there? HAR: Yeah, yeah. And we were on Capri and Anacapri, which is a little village up there. So we just had a nice time relaxing, and just playing around. We had, usually ... BEN: Did you go on the little boats and things like that? HAR: Yeah. Went to the Blue Grotto, that type of thing. And we had a guy, old Harpo Marx, he'd always come and wake us up, there two of us in this room overlooking the Mediterranean (with a balcony and everything), just picture perfect. So he'd always come up and wake us up in the morning, and berate us for being such a bad influence last night, drinking too much, and pushing around with these girls and all that stuff. But he'd always bring us a glass of orange juice with some vodka in it, grain alcohol - that's what it was. Tell us to drink our drink, you know. So we always had this thing in our balcony, so that always got to be a lot of fun. So we had a picture of this thing was sitting on the balcony, and looking over the Mediterranean. 77 |
