Show [ca]pacity. The Institute needs popularizing both with the boys, and with the Presbyterian families in the city. I believe you can do that. Furthermore I believe you and I could arrange a pleasant interchange of work between the college and the Institution that would be profitable for both, and that you could make if far more pleasant for the boys than it is now. So that on the whole, it might be of advantage for all of us for you to take the place for one year. For very naturally you would not with to be diverted from your official college work, But I hope you will not make any decision until I hear from you and have a chance to confer with the trustees. We have about $10,000 in the bank here toward our College building. I hope to get the rest the coming year. We also have $6,500 in the bank here for the college chapel, and can get the remaining $3,500 any time by selling some property in Washington. Only we wish not to erect the chapel before we do the college building. Let us ask the Lord to guide us in this next ten for we are engaged in his work. My wife's and two brothers from Gailsburg, Kansas with their wives, and her only sister, Mrs. Cary and daughter from Oberlin have been with us the past two weeks and the first reunion of the four families in 16 years.

Sincerely yours,

|
