Show RESOLUTION OF THANKS TO GEORGE D. CLYDE WHEREAS, George D. Clyde has been an outstanding leader in the development and conservation of water resources in the West; and WHEREAS, George D. Clyde has served since November 6, 1953 as Commissioner for the State of Utah on the Upper Colorado River Commission, and has served since 1955 as Vice Chairman of the Commission; and WHEREAS, George D. Clyde has devoted his exceptional abilities and energy to the development and conservation of the water resources of the Upper Colorado River Basin; and WHEREAS, George D. Clyde, by his exceptional devotion to duty and understanding of human nature has earned the deep respect and affection of all members of the Upper Colorado River Commission, its advisers, and staff; and WHEREAS, George D. Clyde has relinquished his position of Commissioner for the State of Utah on the Upper Colorado River Commission; and WHEREAS, George D. Clyde has been appointed and has agreed to serve in the capacity of adviser to the Utah Commissioner on the Commission: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Upper Colorado River Commission that the said Commission desires to express its thanks and appreciation to George D. Clyde for his faithful services, his fine cooperation, and his untiring effort in seeking solution to the many complicated technical problems which have confronted the Commission during his tenure as Commis} sioner, and that the Commission further expresses its appreciation for the fact that it will still have the services and counsel of George D. Clyde in his capacity as engineering adviser to the Utah Commissioner, and that the Commission sincerely wishes him the best of everything and continued health and happiness in all of his future endeavors; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Upper Colorado River Commission is hereby directed to forward a copy of this said Resolution to Governor George D.
