S. Kelly American University at Cairo 801 Land Title Building Philadelphia 10, Pa, Dear Dre Atiya: , I had hoped to -write you more immediately than has been possible but we find ourselves in something of a dilemma, "ihen I wrote you last fall we were of course still organizing the general procedures of our yearlong Inquiry into The Prospect for Freedom, but at the moment the plans for the next several months have rather well crystalized and we have made commitments to an extent that would seem to make additional public appearances under our sponsorship unwise. If you plan to be in Denver during this period in any case, we will of course be delighted to have you here and would want to find opportunity for you to talk to some of our classes and meet our colleagues in informal discussion. If you are interested I would also attempt to find speaking engagements for you in the University of Colorado at Boulder and perhaps at Fort Collins. These would perhaps carry a small fee although their funds for these purposes are extremely limited. If you will let me know whether you would care to make such an appearance or appearances, I would be delighted to attempt to arrange them. You will of course want to see Mre Crofts when you are here and I am sure that he will want to arrange for you to meet those persons in Denver in whom you would be most immediately interested., I naturally regret my inability to offer you a public platform under our auspices but I am sure you will understand the circumstances which we face. Cordially, Ben _ _ "THE PROSPECT FOR FREEDOM IN THE LAST HALF OF THE C E N T U R Y " - A N INQUIRY.
