Description Hyde, George A. Smith, and George W. Armstrong, are hereby made and constituted a body corporate, â-  for the purposes hereinafter specified, under the name and title of "The Provo Canal and Irrigation Company," shall bave; perpetual succession for the term of fifty-years, from and after the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, with power to contract, and be contracted with, to sue and be sued, in all actions at law lion; to purchase, and hold personal property, and real estate; to sell and transfer the same, and to do and perform any and all other acts in their corporate name, that any individual pan, or has a lawful right to do; to of the privileges granted in this act. Sec. 2. The aforesaid company shall have the right find privilege, and the same are hereby conferred, to r lake out one half of the waters of the Proyo river, at ur near the mouth of the Kanyon; on the north side of said river, in the county of Utah, and to conduct the. .same in a suitable.canal upon the bench, and along said waters of said river more than the one hall: Provided, tion of lands below, that are now, or may hereafter be, Sec. 3. The company shall have the entire control may use tie same for the irrigation of lands, for mills or machinery of any kind, and for navigation, and ail other lawful purposes whatsoever; may sell, lease, and dispose of the same, or any portion thereof, for any, or as. the parties may agree.
