Sec. 39. If any person keep a house, shop, or place suffer any person in any house, shop, or other place, under his control, or care, to play at cards, dice, faro, offender shall be fined not more than eight hundred under this section, any person who has the charge of, or deemed the keeper thereof. Sec. 40. If any person play at any game .for any sum of money, or other property of any value, or make any bet a wager for money, or other property of value, he shall be punished by fine not exceeding three hund- montl s ' ^ im^nS °° Sec. 41.
