We, the andersigned, Heorg P e p , United States Iodlan Agent at the Southern Ute Agen&, io Colorado, and William F. Bnrns, interpreter, do hereby certify that we were present at the Southern Ute Agenoy on the 6th, and at the Big Bend of the De-loris River, in Colorado, on the 11th day of September, 1880, and witnessed the sign-ing of the foregoingiostrumeot by the Weeminuohee Ute Indtans, whose names eppear above; thst Igoaio, the head chief of said Indians, waa present on both ocoaaioos, and the Iodians who signed the instrument fully nnderstood the intent and meaning of the same. D. 1880, did eo voluntarily io our presenoe, each one of them understanding at the time tho provisions of the agreement embodied in the aot of Congress appro$ ed June 1% A.
