When it was threshed, Sara Ann had raised sixty bushels of wheat. This she divided with the entire c onunumt y. it was their salvation, for by careful, frugal management it of her supply which seemed to hold out. despite the constant need for it. The sixty bushels were fittingly called "Salvation Wheat." When the supply became low Sara Ann placed some grains in a bottle to show her husband when he returned from his mission.
