The offices of the First Presidency and other authorities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are found in the large white building immediately west of the Lion House. As in the past, so today, the Lion House is one of the social centers of Salt Lake City. After Brigham Young's death, this home was first used as a meeting place for the girls and women of the community, but has become a favorite gathering place for receptions, weddings, parties, luncheons, and meetings.
