The Salt Lake County, Public Works Department, Planning Division, supports adding these sites to the National Register. The Planning Division is in the process of completing the Preliminary Master Plan for the Wasatch Canyons which includes Big Cottonwood Canyon. Designation of these sites as Historic Places will not conflict with the recommendations of the Master Plan. We believe preservation of these sites will be a benefit to the canyon by preserving some of the history of the canyon. We compliment your effort to preserve these historic structures and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Sincerely, K. Schneller Planner CKS/bja cc: Commissioners Romney M. Stewart R.
