Scabiofa flore albe, White flowred Scabions. io MN , This white Scabious hath many long leaues , very much iagged or gafht inonboth fides, ofa meane bigneffe;, being neitherfo large as many of the field, norfofmalla | any of the fall kindes : the ftalkes rifeabouta footeand a halfe high, or fomewha higher,at the tops whereof grow round heads,thicke fet with fowers,like in all poias vnto the field Scabious, but ofa milke white colour. 2. Scabiofarubra Auflriaca. Red Scabious ofAuftria. Thisred Scabious hath manyleaueslying ¥pon the ground , very like vato Dauls bit, but not fo large, being fhorter and fnipt, not gafhed abeutthe edges , ofalight greene colour ; yet (there is another ofa darker greene colour, whofe flowerisot deeperred)the ftalkes haue diuers fuch leaues on them,fet by couples at the ioyntsas grow belowe , andatthetops fall headsof flowers, each confifting offine leaues, the biggeft flowers {tanding round aboutin the outer compaffe, as is vfuallalmof in all the kinds of Scabious,ota fine light purple or red colour: after the fowersare pak, comethe f{eede, which is fomewhat long and round, fet withcertaine haires atthe head thereof, likevnto a Starre : the roote is compofed of a numberofflendes ftrings, faftened at the head. 3.
