Show Attention is called to an instance of bad practice, where an avalanche dog leader goes on a mission and carries out a successful search, only to have the director of the group learn this gratifying fact either by reading the newspapers, by a long- delayed skimpy report from the avalanche dog leader, or only by rumor. Such modesty is definitely out of place. The avalanche dogs deserve favorable publicity. The population should be continuously informed about the difficult performance of their duty. In other words, their accomplishments should not be kept secret. However, such efforts can be aided only by an immediate report on all missions. The sketch. This should be drawn on the report form as simply as possible, in the form of a panoramic sketch. - 72 - |
