Car la feule a&ion de leur lumiere me declare ait jamais creulées pour en tirer allez, que leurs corps font d'une matiere fortfubrile & fort agitée. Pour les Cieux , puifqu‘ilsnc peuvent être appemeus par nos lens, je penfe avoir railon de leur arri- buer une nature moyenne,entre celle des corps lumineux dont nous fentons l'a&ion, & celle des corps durs & pefans dont nous l‘entons la refillance. Enfin nous n'apercevons point de corps mè- lez en aucun autre lieu que lur la elld-epuis les nuées les plus baures les metaux , ell extremement pe-' titâ comparailon de la Terre & des immenfes étenduës du Ciel, nous nous pourrons facilement imaginer que ccscorps mélez ne font tous enfemble que comme une écorce qui ell: engendrée au deŒus dela Terre,par l'agitation & le mélange de la matiere du Ciel qui l'environne.
