Ruth smiles at Marty- "I got a good bottle," she tells her. "I just told Bob to pick something out and send it up. I said it was a special occassion." Ned pours a swallow into Marty's glass and she sniffs it, tastes it. "It's excellent," she proclaims, and Ruth smiles again. She is wearing lipstick tonight, and a crescent kiss remains on the glass when she tastes the wine. "It is good." Ned sits down, unfolds his napkin. "This looks wonderful," he announces, and the family turns to dinner. Exclamations of pleasure. The peas are perfect. The beef, tender. The potato |
