Olaf's "Let the kid alone!" xras final and menacing. Olaf xrould certainly have h i t Weasel if Bill had not stepped in and soothed the baby by picking him up or feeding him. Bill ordinarily xrould have kept the lean-to shut off from the main room to save f i r e xrood, but when he kept the door open, Weasel xrould l i e on his bunk most of the time and then the rest of them-easy xrith each other-could enjoy some of the endless hours.
