Every time the x\iagon seemed to be going to one side Bill X'jas almost on top of the horse, snapping the reins and shouting u n t i l the horse would straighten again. Then the wagon s t a r t ed to r o l l faster and Bill yelled, "Hang on everyone, hang on! "Pa's gone!" Bill pulled up. "Woah" and then Sunny's voice. "He's here." "Get in Dad-get in the xragon!" As soon as Dad's weight hit the wagon, Bill had the horse moving again, still going doxm hill. When the xragon started to slow and the xrheels to slide Bill jumped out, "Push! he shouted and grabbing the. . side of the xragon with his stiff mittens, he shoved his xreight forward. The horse leaned into its harness, slipping but making ground. The shouts and grunts of the men could be heard above the wind; over it all as in a dream Bill as he pushed could hear Little Bill's voice, awake now and crowing and yelling with the rest of them.
