Show 964 ROBERT N. ALLEN Recalled for Complainant ( R. Vol. 12, pp. 2295- 2296) " Q When you were on the stand Mr. Farnsworth asked you about pictures at low water. I want to show you Exhibit 373, which is one of your photographs, and ask you to tell me what that picture represents. " A We were at Piute canyon at the time. The trails that our packer was supposed to make over the mountain had been blocked by a land slide, and by a long, round- about road he reached our camp and told us we would have to go back with the boat to Spencer's camp, to get the two weeks' supplies-" R. 2295. The photograph in Complainant's Exhibit No. 373 represents Mr. Loper and Mr. Miser starting from Piute Canyon to go back to Spencer's bar for supplies. " Q What are Mr. Miser and Mr. Loper doing there? " A They are pulling the boat up stream, not in low water, but comparatively low water,- not as low as we did see it." " MR. BLACKMAR: We have one hundred and thirty- eight pictures in connection with Mr. Allen's testimony, instead of one hundred and forty- two; No. 95, there was no negative; 111 and 122 were not reproduced by the photographer here. " THE SPECIAL MASTER: That straightens the record. " MR. BLACKMAR: Do you want to ask any questions about these five missing photographs? " MR. FARNSWORTH: No." R. 2296. |
