The trip made with Old Rocky was for trapping and hunting, and was before the Best expedition. It started at the old ferry above the present location of the bridge and ended a little below the Wheeler Ranch, about sixteen miles below Greenriver City. The boat used on this trip belonged to Old Rocky. R. 2223. He left the boat at the Wheeler ranch and went back by wan of Court House Rock or Spring, which is about twelve miles from the Green River, to Thompson Springs, Utah. R. 2224. This trip was two or three years before the first Stanton expedition, and the only other two times he was ever on the Green River was between Greenriver, Utah, and the mouth of the Green River on the two occasions referred to on his direct examination.
