Show 942 FREDERICK S. DELLENBAUGH Re- called for Complainant ( R. Vol. 12, pp. 2230- 2233) Further Cross Examination. ( R. Vol. 12, pp. 2230- 2233) He looked over a few old photographs shown to him by Mr. Farnsworth, and has made notations on the backs of the copies of the photographs, indicating approximately the location of where the pictures were taken. The pictures were taken during the second Powell expedition, and were marked and received in evidence [ R. 2232] Defendant's Exhibits Nos. 5 to 10 inclusive respectively. Defendant's Exhibit No. 8 is a picture of the boat named the Emma Dean. R. 2231. On the backs of each of these photographs, except Defendant's Exhibit No. 9, appears this notation - " U. S. Topographic and Geological Survey of the Colorado river of the West by J. W. Powell and A. H. Thompson." R. 2232. On the back of Defendant's Exhibit No. 9 appears the Notation - " Department of the Interior, U. S. Geographical and Geological Survey of the Rocky Mountain region, J. W. Powell. geologist in charge." R. 2232- 2233. |
