The following report of the Committee on Building: tan ereeented and on motion of Regent Carter the report was Approved one the recommendations adopted: Board of Regeete. University of Utah, ;%_Lod1eo and Gentlemen: Your Committee on Building: respectfully report an fellows: The Committee has held two meetings, one on March 18th and one on march 25th, to censifier matters relating to the buildings to be erected under the approgriatione made therefor w the last Legislature. In the first glace, consideration was given to the plane prayered some years ago by Messrs Young and Hansen, architects. for a proposed Assembly Hall. the apprOpriation I»: which was maee in 1919 and which was not erected. Hr.‘Young of Young and Hansen was present at the cam- ndttee meeting and explained the plane which were carefully eonsidered. ' The Committee is of the opinion that. while the plane lappear to hate been well adopted to the needs of the univer81%! at the thee they were made, the growth of the institution ainee that thus makes it inadvisable to use them for the building new contemplated and your Committee recommends that they be not need. In accordance with action of the Board of Regents, B‘cambgr a. 1921, Messrs. Young and Hanson were paid $1,875 or -l&$ of $75,000 fer their plans. specifications and drawings. |
