The income from the funds invested for the Library is placed direct to the credit of the Park Library Account on the General Books of the University and disbursed for books upon requisitions from the Librarian. There was a credit balance June 30, 1925, to this :ccount of 8502.55, and outstanding obligations of approximately 200.00. The income from the funds invested for the Perk Fellowship is deposited in a SavingS Account and used in the payment of cellowships grsnted by the Board of Regents to Instructors in the Bniversity who pursue studies outside the University. There is a balance in this Savings account, June 50, 1925, of $6,601.90.‘ Scholarships totaling $1800.00 have been granted for the Academic year lQP5-6, shich will be withdrawn from the Sevings AccoUnt at the interest period, October 1, 19?5. . This is a fund created by a donation of $3,000.00 from Alfeles Young in June, 1916, in memory of his mother, Eliza Bur- gess Young, and to be used for the purchase of books for the library of the University of Utah. It is provided that only the income accruing each alternate year shall be used, until July 1, 1916, after which it shall be discretionary with the Board of Regents whether the arrangement of using only the income of each elternete year shell be discontinued. Up to date the income has been used in accordance with the terms of the bequest and no further expenditures may be made until 1926-7.
