Q Then as I understand it, you would go on up to this trading post, gt the Indians across the river and bring them across? A Yes sir. Q Trade with them, and then take them back? A Yes sir. Q During all the time you were ; in there, have you ever had occasion to ford the Colorado river, and if so, at what places? A During that time I was running the trading post on the Colorado river at Wilson creek, took some of the Indians across, forded them across to go out to the mountains to hunt. Q Other than that have you personally ever forded the river? If so, at what points? |
