THE WITNESS: I first was there for Mr. Adams; later the last I was on the river, Mr. Bennett; either in the fall of 1905 or the fire part of 1906; we had a lease on it, and operated it ourselves. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q This visit you are referring to now is a different year than the Red canyon -- A I think this other was the fore part of 1905 I have just spoken of. Q It was a different trio? A Yes, it is a different winter. Q Now, after that trip that you have just referred to, were you off the Colorado river any length of time? A Yes sir, I left the Colorado river in the spring of 1906, and was not back again until about 1925. Q In 1925 at what point did you go to to the river? A At the mouth of Hanson creek. |
