The foundations for this research were laid while as involved in an effort to develop mining applications at te Kidd Creek Mine of Texasgulf Ltd. That project was eaded by Roger Harris of Texasgulf. Without the consis et and generous support of Roger, this work would never have been possible. He provided me both the opportunity and the neans to develop these ideas, implenent a first system, and apply the system to the problems of mine engineering.
