And I had to wait until I got over them before I went in because I had a straight neck like this. BEC: CHA: BEC: CHA: programs. CHA: So you went to officers' school in New Mexico? Uh-huh. And how long d1d that schoohng last? I was there for, well I was in what they called a V -12 and V -5 And I was really working In the A1r Corps, JUSt In the Navy; 1t was an officers' training program. And then they- BEC: CHA: BEC: for? Do you know? CHA: BEC: CHA: BEC: CHA: Were you going to explain what the V-12 Program was? It was a special program for officers training. Oh, they just gave It that name. What did the "V" and the "12" stand I don't know Victory in twelve months? I have no Idea. Oh, okay And It was really the officers pre-cadet officers training, is what It was, and they, after we were there so long they said, well, they couldn't take all of us. So they said, well, you have to be so physically, you have to be capable of flying an aircraft. And I ended up with high blood pressure and they said, "Well, you can't fly" And so I says, "Well, It's cause when I go In a doctors office I get frustrated and that's why " I said, "If you'lllet me come down and get acquainted with the doctor it will go down."
