But we had bonfires and everyone would come over and bring their own httle, whatever they wanted to roast. I mean, It was a fun time and we played Run, My Sheepie, Run and Kick the Can and stuff like that, that we would entertain ourselves with at night. And things like that. It was fun. BEC: A close-knit community it sounds like. FRI: Oh, yeah. BEC: Huh. That is different today FRI: Yeah, I don't think, I mean, everybody's at home now, watching television, and we didn't have that. BEC: Right. FRI: And even the radio, not everybody had one of those. And so that was a new thing and people would come. We had one-course It's shaped like that, big and that was fun. BEC: FRI: neighborhood. BEC: neighborhood. FRI: CHA: The whole neighborhood would come around your porch. Yeah. Well, a lot of people would, maybe not the whole Well, as a kid you probably thought It was like the whole Oh, yeah. It was, It was. Remember the streetcar coming down the road? 17 |
