Show 6942 Chaffin- D 4930 A I was operating it for Frank Bennett and myself. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q What kind of articles or commodities did you receive from the Indians? A Blankets, mostly, some baskets, some pottery. Q what did you do with those products, those Indian products that you received? A I sold some of them in Salt Lake City, and snipped some to Denver. Q From what points on the river did they begin their journey overland to Salt Lake City or elsewhere? A Right across the river, they would come in by horses from over by the San Juan and come across the river and holler, then I would go over and get them in the boat. Q Go over and get them and take them back to your camp? A Bring them to my camp, and when we got through trading I would take them back across the river and they would go on.
