Show 97 6283 4275 Ella Ross- D Q After you came out, you and your family came out in 1893, then where did you go? A Why, we lived in Greenriver; I have been there most of the time ever since, until 1915. Q From 1893 down to the time you left there, you made frequent trips on the river? A I made-- there was one trip I made while we were living down there, in a row boat with my brother up to Green-river, and then I made two trips in 1894; I think it was in 1896 I made a trip -- let's see -- one was a row boat trip, the other one was on the Paddy Ross. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q That was from Valentine Bottom to Greenriver? A One from Greenriver to the mouth of the river, and the other one was from the Wimmer ranch to Turk's Point, a ways below Valentine Bottom. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q What year was the trip that you went down to the mouth of the river? A I think that was in 1906-- 1896-- let me see-- wait a minute-- well, it was when the Paddy Ross went down; I think you have that; that was the time. Q Were most of these trips that you made down there with your husband? |
