Show Our literary talents answered the call of the Pen. Short stories, poems, art work and humor filled the pages of each quarter's issue of Pen. Sorting out and editing reams of copy was editor Amilee Schmutz' chief duty. Under her pencil passed all the copy which found its way to the printed page of our magazine. Amilee succeeded in bringing us a book which combined the best aspects of the usual Pen and the old Unique. Energetic Bert Goates managed the business affairs of the Pen and managed them well. Selling ads when skiing, tennis or golf beckons isn't always fun, but Bert always kept the books of the Pen in good order. Many of us worked to make the Pen a success, but there isn't room for all our names here. To artist Dave Meyer our Pen owed a lot. Untiring Dave kept the art work of the Pen at its usual fine standard. Amidst the other school activities, the Pen took its place. Staff members, left to right; Luella Robinson, Grace Lawrence, Fred Pingree, Judy Powelson, Barbara Hul-quist, and Winston Faux kept copy coming in. till f/f/1 f)\ f)f)^s editor Amilee Schmutz direct-l/i I I/Ill Lt tt ed activities. lilalliSBSiiililil :§mm&B&Bi^B4mS& iiliilSlliHiiilpiplSf ' iliiiifitotsasfsSiiis;ptb> ,1 Business manager Bert Goates sold ads, T kept books.
