Show ATHLETIC COUNCIL Intercollegiate and intramural athletic activities were the concern of the council for athletics. Personnel, budgets and schedules for the department of athletics came under their jurisdiction. They were, seated left to right, Richard L. Evans, David Hiner, President A. Ray Olpin, Jack Curtice, Leland Creer. Standing, left to right, Jimmy Hodgson, Parry Sorensen, Bob Sanders, Hugh Hamilton, Leon Garrett, John Naisbitt, N. P. Neilson, Theron Parmelee. MUSIC COUNCIL Notes on campus musical activities took the interest of members of the music council. Choral programming and scheduling band performances kept members on their toes. Keeping musical organizations in the limelight of campus activities were: Seated, left to right, Joyce Durham, Leroy Robertson, Dwan Jacobsen Young. Standing, left to right, Theron S. Parmelee, Marion Redd, Lowell Durham. DEBATE COUNCIL Always affirmative for the futhering of debate tourneys and speech activities, and always negative for any invasion of debating honors, the debate council made arrangements for intercollegiate events. Due to their fine direction the U debate teams took top honors practically everywhere they went. Members were: seated, left to right, Jacob Geerlings, Royal Garff.
