Show Besides all the fun of U-Days, competing groups had their eyes on the trophies to be presented for Songfest, pushcart relays, and participation. When trophies were presented at the dance, Alpha Chi Omega took home the participation trophy. Shouts of joy and sighs of disappointment were both heard as winners were announced - - and U-Days were over for another vear. The Alpha Phi's came in first on the second heat of the Lambda Chi derby. Winners of U-Days events and new student body officers were announced at the dance - a climax to the week of festivities. ,¦ ¦•:.: •' v "U" Days committee included: First row: Bill Carlston, Barbara Nielson, chairman, Frank Johnson. Second row: John Greer, Joyce Melville, Carol Lou Kimball, Robin Burt, Beryl Jones, Barbara Hickman. Third row: Mickie Oberg, Argie Andondakis, Virginia Bird, Richard Day. 172 Gerry Sharp headed the Awards Committee which decided on the students to receive sweater and medal awards. The committee included Pat Bates, Joan Bennett, Kay Buchanan, Clifford Chadwick, John Cook, Gordon Crawford, Alice Creer, Jerry Lou Emerson, Gerry Ernstrom, Yvonne Faux, Delbert Goates, Gerre Lue Hughes, Ray Johnson, Shirley Kinsey, Ruth Montgomery, Mary Nebeker, Corinne Paxman, Tom Rogers. |
