Navy and Marine Corps students in this program are required to major in engineering, physical sciences or mathematics. They are constantly assessed for academic ability, motivation, and officer potential while in college, and must succesfully complete Officer Candidate School after graduation to earn a commission. They are a very select group of Navy and Marine Corps enlisted men and represent a high order of general academic and leadership ability. There are over 2,000 of these young men enrolled in 22 participating universities. Charles J. Bruerton ,„* «^r.,s Ted Frostad Gary Keller Thomas Kerr Allan B. Lund William H. Manker 289 |
