Show The members of the Board of Regents for the academic year 1966-67 were: (front row) George C. Hatch, Richard L. Evans, Edward W. Clyde, Chairman; President James C. Fletcher, Donald B. Holbrook, Briant H. Stringham; (row 2) Parry D. Sorenson, Clyde L. Miller, Reed W. Brinton, Roy W. Simmons, Luke G. Pappas, Wilford W. Clyde, Joseph F. Worthen, and Carvel AAattsson. Absent: Calvin W. Rowlings and Robert H. Hinckley. Board of Regents Regents lunch 'n' listen at December meeting. Composed of fifteen men, twelve of whom are appointed by the Governor, plus President Fletcher, the president of the Alumni Association and the Utah Secretary of State, the Board of Regents represents the citizens of Utah in the organization of the University. The Regents meet formally with the administration once a month and are organized into eight standing committees. It is they who determine the policy of the University on all significant issues and approve all contracts, expenditures and organizational revisions undertaken by the administration. 31 |
