Show Greek Week 1967, under the direction of Irene Corbett and Craig Forsey, was celebrated with record festivities. Newly elected royalty - Queen Marianne McKay and her attendants Michelle Silver and Sue Stucky - helped avalanche the winter activities to a roaring success. From ski races to snow sculpture, notably "Snoopy for God," to the Friday night dinner-dance at Treasure Mountain Inn complete with sleigh and ponies, the week went well. Intellectual pursuits took precedence, too, as the annual College Bowl drew scholars into tough competition, proving that the fraternities foster an often unsuspected love for academics. Bridge tournaments, guest speakers and exchange dinners enjoyed much support. All in all, the 1967 Greek Week was a great success with the Pi Phi's and Sigma Alpha Epsilon walking away with top honors while a good time was had by all. pace for 67 as activities and excitement "... and the walls came tumbling down. 'Don't tell me what I just ate." 225 |
