After gaining membership in the A Cappella Choir by audition and interview, these students worked hard under the direction of Dr. Weight and his assistant, Jerry Ottley, to which performances like the Spring Concert in March bore witness. They were given a special honor in being chosen above numerous western college choirs to perform at the Music Educator's National Conference at Las Vegas during spring quarter break. A great tribute to our University's music department, the privilege was given to only one college choir in the entire Western States district. Dr. Newell B. Weight Director 95 |
