Show Psychotherapeutic drug use is defined by the Utah Household Survey on Substance Abuse as nonmedical use of any prescription type stimulant, sedative, tranquilizer, or analgesic. It is a health risk to use prescription drugs outside a physician's care. In this Substance Abuse (Utah Household Survey on Substance Abuse) Psychotherapeutic Drug Use survey, the percentage of Utahns reporting regular non-medical use of psychotherapeutic drugs generally remains higher than the nation-wide rate in most categories. However, it is difficult to compare the data because it is inconsistent. Table 82 .
