U University Theatre The University Theatre has again proved itself as a University success and achieved one more step toward its establishment as a community tradition. A busy summer was spent with the summer theatre productions at the stadium, and with hardly an interlude, the staff, headed by C. Lowell Lees, was scheduling and producing a full year of dramatic activity. The week was rare indeed when Kingsbury Hall did not hum with the excitement of rehearsals or production of one of the many outstanding dramatic presentations sponsored this year by the University Theatre. Starting with the summer theatre annual musicals at Ute Stadium, the staff scheduled and supervised a remarkably comprehensive series ranging from contemporary French works featuring Broadway players, to one act plays for student participation. The University Theatre has again proved itself more popular than ever on campus. Its popularity and success have played an indispensible part in establishing the realization of the University as the cultural center of our community. Gail Plummer, Manager of the University Theatre, depends on his assistants, Karen and Renae, to relieve the burden of his position.
