Show k this Jay jot ii is life In any society there must be those who will lead - consciously or unconsciously, noticed or unnoticed, academically, socially, politically - but there will be leaders. In an institution as complex as a University you will find them in every form, from the Governor of the State, through the University President, the Board of Regents, the deans, directors, faculty, supervisors of services, and student government - many of them working behind the scenes where we were completely unaware even of their existence. And yet, as unglamorous as their jobs were, they were a vital part of the mechanism of this University. The administration formed the skeleton - that necessary part which gave foundation and structure to our institution - about which we, as studentbody officers, board and committee members, worked in order to give it life and energy. We filled in the empty spaces with leadership, padded it with our resources, gave in where the structure was firm and had our way where it relented. But, we all worked together, smoothly for the most part, and when the year was over saw the results - progress, development, and completion. And, for personal satisfaction from our service, we heard the words of Dr. Albert Schweitzer when he said: "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only people who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."
