Show Housing Policy Advisory Board Organized last year to fill a need recently created on campus by the erection of Ballif Hall, this committee functioned very effectively. Carlson Hall and Central Hall were opened up to all girls, Ballif Hall and Men's Hall took care of most of the fellows, and Stadium Village housed the married students. This all added up to a big job for this able-bodied committee. Members were: S. W. Mote, Lewis Haines, Gertrude Morgan, Elmo R. Morgan, and Burns Crookston. Athletic Council Student Affairs Committee Composed equally of students and faculty, this committee was the highest court as far as student activites were concerned. They acted on committee proposals, student problems and questions of right and wrong in activity plans. Committee members were: Bob Bennett, William H. Behle, Burns Crockston, Ron Jensen; and Gertrude Morgan, Willard W. Blaesser, Nancy Lou Larson, Jim Duke, Pat Robinson, and Douglas Woodruff. Not only did this board make up the schedules for inter-collegiate and intramura! athletics, but also the job of appointing all athletic department personnel was under their jurisdiction. Chairmaned by Dr. L. David Hiner, the board consisted of President A. Ray Olpin, Dr. Jacob Geerlings, David Freed, Colonel C. L. Banks, Bud Jack, Parry Sorensen, Theron Parmelee, N. P. Nielson, Leon Garrett, V. Farrell Thomas, Jerry Liston, and Jack Curtice. 40 |
