Note |
The University of Utah has made former and current yearbooks from various campus entities available in print and via its digital library archive. These documents contain facts and milestones about the history of the University of Utah. In some cases, these publications contain insensitive and offensive language and imagery that does not represent the views or values of the University of Utah. Insensitive and offensive portrayals of race and gender were wrong at the time these publications were originally printed, and they are wrong today. The yearbooks are presented as they were originally created and have not been edited or censored-to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices and biases never existed. - July 2019 |

Show LAURENCE (Quarterback) HARDY (Center) (DENVER GAME GOLORADO grid critics got their second glance at the Crimson Tide of Utah •when Coach Ike Armstrong and his Redskins invaded Denver and walked over the Pioneers of Denver University to the score of 13 to 0. By this point in the pennant chase the sport writers of the Centennial state were becoming dubious ever the chances of a Colorado team to keep the pennant on the eastern side of the mountains, and it was with the greatest interest that the outcome of the Denver game was watched. With its result, Denver papers proclaimed the Utah aggregation the most powerful eleven ever turned out in Utah, and it was a generally accepted thought that if the Utah Aggies could be beaten in the annual Turkey Day classic, then the conference bunting would go to the Indian wigwam for 1926. Utah scored in the first period of play after Caffey recovered a fumble by a Denver back on the 25-yard line. Eight plays put the ball on the 7-yard line and Utah's line shows good form in opening holes. Ci«iei«i»reiei«ieieic>ieic!«ieie:iKlv7«E3iAiei«i«i«i«i»ieiciftieieieiE [196] ixsta-i |
