Show ..V-' cJtfUSIC COUNCIL H GREATER UNIVERSITY through greater activity has been the slogan of the Music Department and its results are readily seen on all sides. During the past year greater activity has been seen in the presentation of Aida, the organization of the Pep Band, two successful concert tours through California by the Men's Glee Club, organization of the Men's Ensemble, three concerts by the Ladies' Glee Club, and an exceptionally well presented Song Fest. All of the expanded activities have been made possible and fostered by the Music Council under the direction of Stanley Parkinson. Musical activities have been under the direction of Prof. Thomas Giles, head of the Music Department. Of his enterprise and desire for greater musical activity many students have been attracted to this department. He has been ably assisted by the very competent services of Ellen Nielson. Stanley Parkinson and Glen Lee are the student members of Council. Both of these men have been very active in musical activities of the University.
