Show Section 7. Sales. There have been no patents in fee, or certificates of competency, or removal of restrictions for these Indians up to the present time. I do not believe that patents in fee or the removal of restrictions should be granted at this time. It will be found necessary to extend the period of these restrictions> after their expiration, which I believe occurs in the near future. During the past year individual Indian money to the amount of $ 88,560 was credited to these Indians giving to each individual $ 262.00. With this money augmented by a few Indian land sales several modern homes have been built. These and others have been furnished with comfortable necessities of home life, fencing, farm wagons, work harnesses, spring wagons, plows, harrows, drills, mowers, rakes, stoves, sewing machines and many other necessary articles have been furnished to the Indians through the use of this Individual Indian money. I believe, tlv.- t on account of the advanced price in all articles, the more varied demand- of the Utes in clothing and general living expenses the per capita payment for the year 1920 should be materially increased. I shall take this matter up with proper adjustifications when submitting a request for these funds.
