Show OBJECTIVES to develop initiative and leadership to give service to school and community to study vocations and to prepare for careers to accept the to inspire appreciation of our free land and its opportunities responsibilities of citizenship PROGRAM The basic programs of the Nike Club are planned, informa tive sessions which feature discussions and authoritative on such educational and character-building topics as speakers study habits, attitudes, etiquette, grooming, vocations, responsibility, business ethics, parliamentary procedure, speech and other subjects which develop sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship. EMBLEM The name "Nike Club" and the emblem were chosen by the members of the first Nike Club founded in 1947. The emblem de picts Nike, the winged goddess of victory, looking towards a rising sun and standing upon a base inscribed "Nike".
