THE GENDER GAP PANEL The Gender Gap panelists presented us with some figures describing Utah women's voting patterns, some discouragement over participation in the political process and total agreement that women must do more than vote their self-interest - They must run for office. Moderator Karen Shepherd of Network introduced the discussion with a description of the consciousness raising that has occurred within the group of women who were already poitically active and with a call for all women to realize that they must grasp political power in order to survive.
