Greene, Bobby Charles Beaslin, Mike L. Wilkins Sr., Roger Leon Merrell. Polo Team Winning was not the tradition as the Prancing Poloks (Poloks) trotted into their first season. Inasmuchas there were no other high school polo teams in Utah, the Poloks decided to go international. The trip began south of the border, where the Poloks fell victim to the Tijuana Spikes, by a score of 1-0. Onto England went the merry poloers to play the London ROE Limes, where they did not Travels escape being humiliated in defeat. The Prancing Poloks lost 2-1 in triple overtime. “We had far too many mental mistakes,’’ exclaimed an angry Coach Greene after the close loss. Italy hosted the next polo match. The Poloks fell once more. This time to the Pope and the Vatican Wasps.
