Show UTAH aUSEUM OF FINE ARTS DOCENTS ( 3 No. 5 November 1981 MUSEUM IN THE CLASSROOM GALLERY TALKS Museum in the Classroom Docents have been out into the schools this fall with many presentations in elementary, middle and senior high schools. The Museum is trying to· encourage the University community to come to the Museum during the week so Gallery Talks are being offered on Wednesdays during the noon hour. Volunteers for these talks are encouraged to select a day. Gallery Talks by staff members continue to be given on Sunday afternoons. The Museum in the Classroom group now offers presentations on the arts of Ancient Egypt, China, Africa, the Pre-Columbian Period, the Northwest Indians and the Southwest Indians. Available also are presentations on Early American Painting and the Japanese Woodblock Printing. Also there is a twopart program on the Elements of Art. * * * * * * ( p. Be thinking about the area of specialization you will be researching this year. Docents who pursue a specialization find this continuing education very rewarding.
