Show 232 aggressive tactics and destructive intentions of the Nazis had convinced Andros and the council he was working for that earth was better off dead. But just in time Wonder Woman broke through the window feet-first like a spear, risking her own life and capture in order to help Andros, a man-looking alien she just met. Her impressive actions restored a skeptical hope in humanity, and the Council determined not to destroy the earth-for now. One step away from his spaceship, Andros and Wonder Woman are ready to separate. There has been a strange tension between them since they met; Andros instantly saw beyond Diana Prince's glasses and recognized Wonder Woman, something no one else had been able to do. Later, hiding together in a broom closet, Wonder Woman had felt his arm for unclear reasons-perhaps attraction, perhaps curiosity as to the shiny, possibly metallic material. With only Steve Trevors as a known precedent, it is difficult to gauge Wonder Woman's attraction. "Come with me, Wonder Woman," says Andros. "To space?" "Yes, where you can be free of Man's hatred and destruction." "Oh. It sounds beautiful Andros, but I have a mission here. I can't leave Steve and the others in the middle of the fight." "You think the men you fight with are good, but I'm not so sure. With men it is just degrees of savagery." "I know it can seem like a hateful place, but I feel like if we can win this war the destruction will cease, and men and women can coexist peacefully." |
