Show 1068 Ferry that was hauled overland from Flagestaff, including lumber for the barge and machinery for the dredge. In connection with the dredge there were two boilers, two hydraulic pumps, an amalgamator, and a centrifugal pump. Each boiler would weigh about three tons empty but he would not be able to ascertain the total weight very close. R. 2542. Charles H. Spencer was in charge of operations all the while he was there. He made one trip on the large launch to Warm Creek and possibly three short trips. R. 2542- 2543. " Q Have you a picture there of that large launch? Did it have a name? " A No, that is not it: I have no picture of the large launch. That ( indicating) is the stern wheeler I built for the Santa Fe railroad; that was built at Needles." R. 2543.
