Show 1028 WILLIAM. MARRS For Complainant ( R. Vol. 13, pp. 2450- 2486) He resides at Inglewood, California. After finishing high school and a four year course in an agricultural college, he served as an apprentice in the machinists trade and electrical work. Since then, he has followed the electrical and mechanical lines. At the present time he is school teacher by profession. R. 2450. During the World War he was chief machinist's make as instructor in the submarine service in the United States Navy. He was on the Colorado River on a trip made for the Edison Company in 1921. On that trip he was listed as boatman on the payroll. He also made a second trip in 1922. On the first trip he was directed to obtain a boat which had been purchased at San Pedro and shipped out from there. This boat was taken to Flagstaff, and then he took it overland to Lees Ferry. This boat was twenty- six feet long, about five feet wide; it had a tunnel stern, with a propeller wheel in the back end of the boat. R. 2451. Complainant's Exhibit No. 408 identified by him as photograph of the boat. He left Los Angeles on the five o'clock train on the 23rd of July, 1921, and arrived at Lees Ferry about one o'clock the next day. " Q. How long did it take you to launch the boat and get it ready?
